I have one day of chemo behind me with 3 to go. We were at the center for 3 hours today. My sodium was low, so was told to eat a lot of salty foods. Some of the chemo drugs can cause sodium to drop.
Not feeling too bad, a bit fuzzy headed and some fluid retention. Hmmm -- more salt will make the retention worse. Thankfully, I'll get rid of the bag on Sunday.

Glad your day was not too bad. Kick back in bed and munch on some potato chips...and just relax. Keep your strenght up, and remember lots of thoughts and prayers are with you daily.

ReplyDeleteHey Dotty, I love the suggestions- cheetos, potato chips, and I suggestioning salty popcorn, enjoy all the salty stuff for there will come a day when they say light salt or no salt, too much fluid retension. Tell George to watch out the salt intake does not include him.
ReplyDeleteHope you have 3 successful days and then we can get the show on the road.

Dotty,
ReplyDeleteStill with you with something extra for your friend, Gwen. You're strong and doing great--keep up the good work.
For relatively "good" salty stuff, try Sun Chips--they taste great, and while salty, they have less other junk that regular chips.
Love you--Rita
